In the wake of the hangar fire, Susan has been a staunch advocate for environmental justice and equity within the community.
This collaboration underscores Lana’s dedication to continuous learning and her support for initiatives that foster positive change.
One of Lana's key goals is to see the establishment of a dedicated commissioner role to address environmental needs. This position should ensure that sustainability and environmental issues receive the focused, consistent attention they require, reinforcing her commitment to a greener, healthier community for everyone.

Environmental Equity
Lana is taking a crucial step toward addressing the environmental inequities exacerbated by the North hangar fire. This incident has disproportionately impacted nearby neighborhoods, where residents were unable to test for toxins in their homes due to reported financial constraints, highlighting the urgent need for equitable solutions and support for those affected. Her voice matters in advocating for reimbursement and resources that can help restore the health and safety of the community. Working Together For A Green OC
Lana and her team actively participated in a public input session aimed at shaping Orange County’s inaugural Climate Action Plan (CAP).
She plans to apply her experience from participating in climate action planning by proposing similar initiatives tailored to Tustin's needs. For instance, advocating for implementing renewable energy projects within the city, promoting energy-efficient building codes, and encouraging local businesses to adopt sustainable practices are priorities.
