Lana's remarkable journey as a childhood leukemia survivor and her battle against multiple health adversities have shaped her into a candidate of unparalleled strength for the district.

Her resilience, fortified by her family's unwavering support and strong values, defines her character. These experiences have given Lana a deep understanding of healthcare policies and the vital role nonprofits play in helping those facing similar challenges.

As a trustee on the board of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the Southern California, Hawaii region, Lana brings a unique perspective, making her exceptionally well-equipped to advocate for the community's needs and drive meaningful change.

Lana is a dedicated advocate for nonprofit organizations in Orange County. Her significant involvement with the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has included volunteering, fundraising, and raising awareness. RMHC provides a "home-away-from-home" for families with hospitalized children, easing emotional and financial stress.

Lana aims to use her nonprofit experience to address local issues, enhance community services, and support local businesses. Her deep-rooted connections and leadership skills make her a strong advocate for positive change in Tustin.

Lana is committed to preserving the history of our community, which is why she wholeheartedly supports the nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the hangars. These iconic structures are not only a significant part of our local heritage but also serve as a poignant reminder of the contributions and sacrifices made by our veterans.

Having walked past the hangars every single day for close to a decade, they hold a deep nostalgic value for me. They are a testament to our past and an inspiration for our future. I believe that maintaining these historic landmarks is essential, and I am dedicated to making fiscally responsible decisions that honor our history and benefit our community.

Lana supports the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and has a personal connection with Rod Carew, who lost his daughter to leukemia around the same time Lana was diagnosed. Rod's wife, Rhonda, a Tustin High School alumna, exemplifies resilience and strength. With these strong community ties and a deep dedication to important causes, Lana is well-prepared to serve Tustin effectively on the City Council.
